Is anyone familiar with the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel(CBBT) police department in Virginia? I'll be travelling across this bridge when I take a trip down south next month and would like to know more about them. I believe that the CBBT has a force of about 40-50 officers, but other than that I don't have any further info. If anyone has info on this agency - pay, hiring practices, assignment details, etc. - please let me know.

oh - The CBBT is a 17 mile bridge with two tunnels along the eastern coast of Virginia. It has been called one of the wonders of the modern world. If any of you watch the history channel, this bridge has been featured on Modern Marvels.

Thanks and stay safe.....

you need to be DCJS certified. you need to have prior law enforcement experience. otherwise its a long shot. its a small dept. that rarely hires. they have a website with an employment section but it seems to never be updated. they post their jobs in the virginian pilot. those guys mostly run radar, handle traffic accidents on the bridge, perform security duties, and toll collecting. i have never once seen them in court.
oh by the way, i live 3 minutes from the virginia beach side of the bridge.

Pintsizedpi - What is DCJS? Also - Do you know of any of the coastal NC agencies that have openings? Any eastern virginia depts?? If you're wondering - I'm desperate to get out of the city and would love to down south, along the coast.
Thanks again
