i am very interested in starting to collect patches. what is the best way to go about doing this???

You may want to subscribe or attempt to get a hold of an edition of PC News, the patch collector's newsletter. They have a small web site, I believe it is p_c_news.com. In here you will find local patch/police collector's shows where you can go and purchase some patches to get you started. You may also want to write or e-mail some local departments and see if they will send you a patch. Some do, some don't. Also, check on e-Bay for police patches or do a search for police patch web sites, and people are frequently advertising patches for sale.

If you don't have any patches to trade right now, you will have to obtain some (probably purchase) to trade later on. Good luck!!:)
