Academy orientation for ex-military

I have the academy orientation tomorrow. I have been told they pull all the ex-military outside and chose Squad leaders from that group to help teach others facing movements, marching, etc. Does anyone know how they chose from that group? If I am going to be hit with some questions, I would like to be prepared. Thanks in advace for any responses.

They will pick anyone who they choose, I dont think that there is any type of things they look for, but yes they usualy pick x-military personal first. Once the others get up to speed they start to pick from them, but a new officer who is in the academy now advised that they pick everyone who had no military. So it depends on the Training staff. Just like boot camp, keep your mouth shut and do what you are told. Good luck
