SFPD badges

Who manufactures the badges currently carried by the SFPD?
A guy in my area has an Inspector's star available for sale. The ad says that it's hallmarked "I & J". Is this one legit?
The price is reasonable...TOO reasonable if you know what I mean. I just don't want to get stung.
