can't log in sometimes

i registered an posted my first time from my computer at work. then over the weekend i tried to log on several times from home and was unable to. i would enter my username and password and it would say thank you for logging on scsc but the bottom of the screen would say you may not post, you may not etc...is there something different about logging on to my work vs home computer that is preventing me form posting? at work i use an ethernet connection and explorer. at home i use compuserve (like aol). would this cause a problem? any help would be appreciated.

It shouldn't make any difference what machine or location you use, as long as you're a member. Try to make a post from home and it should ask you to log on when you try to post. See what happens there. Make sure your machine at home has "cookies" activated and your machine is set to accept cookies. That's probably the problem, as your machine can't remeber you logged on.

I logged in on a public computer and forgot to log off. If someone else were to go to this site would I still be logged in on that machine?
