9/11 Hardest Day [Archive]

Well just wanted to share my day.. I must say it brought back so many thoughts of last year. Watching the T.V. this morning hearing all the names of the victims of last year's attack.. I must say it was very diificult today for me to go to work, on patrol just thinking about where I was last year. I remember so clearly last year going to lower Manhattan 20 minutes after the second plane hitting the South Tower and looking up amazed & confused about what was happening..I can not ever explain how I felt that morning, or how I felt today.. All I can say is how difficult it was today to put on the uniform and work today.. Well I just want to close this by saying GOD BLESS The 23 NYPD Officers and the 37 Port Authority Police Officers who gave there lives that Sept. morning. I will NEVER FORGET!!! God Bless the USA.. Thanks for listening...

Mike,

As a fellow law enforcement officer, I just want you to know that my thoughts and prayers are with you and your fellow officers and firefighters in New York, as they were 1 year ago and have been every day since. I cannot imagine the feelings and emotions you all must be experiencing, but just want you to know that I consider you all part of my extended family, "my brothers and sisters in uniform" if you will. May God be with you all during this difficult time of rememberance.

Thanks for the kind words.. I am sure all of us here in NY and all over the country say thanks as well.. I just wrote that yesterday trying to reflect alittle.. Well stay safe and may no one ever have to go through something like this again.

Thank you for sharing your reflection. Just like Kenoshacop said,
my thoughts and prayers, along with my entire department, were also with you and the rest of our brothers and sisters. Even though we are in Wisconsin, I wish you could have seen the type of appreciation and memorials there were on 9-11-02 for the entire NYPD and FDNY. God bless and stay safe over there.

Well I just wanted to thank you for those kind words.. I know all around the country they were paying tribute and respect for all those who died on 9/11.. Here in NY, PA and the Pentagon.. Once again thanks for your thoughts.. Stay Safe..
