For all of you out there looking to get into EMS/ Fire there are many ways of going about it!
My department has had a ton of guys go to Fire/Police/EMS. They started when they were quite young and it is not the most conventional route.
Ocean Lifeguarding
We open for testing on the west coast in Mid to late March, South Laguna Beach to be exact.

As one climbs the rungs, we sponsor EMT, Swift Water, Dive Rescue, High and Low angle, Emergency Vehicle Ops, Helo Ops. and an assortment of other trainings.
