View Full Version : Leatherman carrier for duty belt?
I am interested in finding out what carriers/holsters/sheaths that some have used for placing a Leatherman Pulse or Wave on their duty belt. The sheaths available from Leatherman come in all but the necessary type: black leather with a 2.25" belt loop.
I have not found anything specific for the Leatherman on the net, but I bet that some type of magazine or generic knife cases would work.
Any suggestions?
Gerber, the twin to Leatherman, makes a black nylon case. I don't know how big the Pulse or Wave is, but the Gerber case is larger than need be for a standard multi tool and it fits your duty belt.
I am required to use leather (or similar). No nylon allowed :(

I am required to wear black leather basketweave only on my duty belt and encountered the same problem. I bought a safariland glock 9mm single mag pouch and it works just fine. It doesn't necessarily have to be glock, but i would think a single 9mm mag pouch would work. I wouldn't carry it near your other mag pouches though, especially if you carry a 9mm gun as it could get confusing in the heat of battle..... I carry mine near the back of my belt..

you might call a tack shop in your area and see who does their custom work. somethin like that should be cheap.

I think that you'll find that you won't be using Leatherman or Gerber enough to justify putting it on your duty belt. Don't busy up your duty belt with too much extra stuff and limit it to the things that you'll really need like cuffs, extra mags, OC, gloves, and a flashlight. These are the things that your life will depend on and you'll need to find by muscle memory only. Carry the Leatherman or Gerber in your "tricky" bag in the trunk or on the passenger seat, whereever you put the bag in your ride so that it'll be handy when you need it.

Don Hume makes a nice black leather case for the Leatherman Supertool. Their website is www.donhume.com and they are pretty good about shipping out free catalogs (I don't think the LST Case is in the online catalog).
Good Luck!
