My department had a four hour training session yesterday with the new Advance Tazer and I must say that I am very impressed. The thing is absolutely amazing. I took a hit from it for about 2-3 seconds and was definetly the worse pain I have ever had in my life. You can't do anything but scream and then fall to the ground. The more less lethal stuff we can have, the better in my opinion. The videos that were available of actual situations proved its worth. Our department is looking to put one in each squad.

The only thing that does frighten me is if bad hands fell upon this and used it against us. There would be no recourse after being hit unlike OC spray where you could fight through it.

We have a guy in the Nevada prison system who is famous or maybe infamous for being at least 2 beers shy of a six pack. He does not feel pain. A judge told him the bible says an eye for an eye, I sentence you to death. He replied "I'll give you an eye" and gouged his own eye out and threw it at the judge. He has been TASERed and looked at the officer with the TASER going full blast, reached up grabbed the wires and yanked the darts out of his body. Then the fights ON.
Nothing works every time, be careful out there.

P.S. This was with a 7 watt Tasertron not one of the 20+ watt supercharged models (he's slowed down recently and hasn't been shot lately and we're just getting the newer TASERs.
