I'm looking into buying a SureFire light for my duty belt. I use a Light every night and have been looking at different models, But was wondering if any of you have an opinion. Looking for something light, bright, durable, can get a duty holster for, and use in a shooting situation (momentary switch) if the need arised.
Thanks in advance for suggestions.

I currently use a stinger but am looking into a surefire. I used a M3 and M2 while at the academy and really liked them. They are both small and durable and bright. The stinger isn't bad but it is a little big for any of the shooting techniques we learned.
The biggest thing is to go with what is comfortable for you.
Good luck

I'm looking at getting the 9AN Commander, its about 1" longer then the Stinger XT, has 20lumens, and 140lumens head so you can switch to either one.
Comes with charger, two battery's, and the light.

Surefire has suspended production on all its rechargeable lights, due to battery and charger problems. For a rechargeable, look at the improved Streamlight Stingers with a stipled/textured reflector; it gives excellent performance without a beam that has rings and dark spots.

Get the Stinger rechargable model. It comes with two batteries (you have to charge them in the flashlight so the second is really a free replacement for when the 1st wears out in about two years) Plenty bright, on swingshift it'll last a shift worths of regular use. Get the origional metal model with the switch on the lens assembly, not a tailcap (so you don't accidently turn it on when you sit down). The light also comes with a DC charger so you can charge it in your vehicle if you need to. Good luck, stay safe.
