Back in the early 80's a West Coast based holster company manufactured an unusual type of sap. This one was sewn down the side of the sap and had a brass grommet at the base of the handle. A leather thong - like the one used on combat boots - was used in place of a handle. What made this sap unusual was that it contained something called "lead clay" instead of the traditional solid lead slug or bird shot.
I've done all sorts of Internet searches to try & get an explanation of what "lead clay" is, but to no avail.
I've contacted both Safariland & Bucheimer but struck out with both companies.
I'd like one of these for my collection.
Any help would be appreciated.
thanks in advance & stay safe!
