I just bought a 38 revolver, Taurus Brasil to use for a backup and off duty. What would be a good holster to buy for the ankle and waist? Are there any websites you recommend where I could purchase them from?

I am a STRONG advocate of ALESSI Holsters, especially their ankle rig, which will last your entire LE career and you could hand it down to your son. Not cheap, but truly excellent! DMC

Also, take a look at several "5 Star" holster makers at the Gunnery Network.

I've carried a S&W 649 on my ankle for the last 15+ years. I have used the Renegade holsters out of Phoenix, Az.

They are relatively inexpensive put EXTREMELY COMFORTABLE. They are principally made of sheepskin and a neoprene, the last about 5 years with every day carry. There are certainly more expensive holsters out there, but this one is comfortable and it works. I went through a number of holsters until I found one that I liked, it is comfortable and secure. Good luck, I had more trouble finding a holster that I liked then I did my last car.

This site sells the Renegade Holsters
