SECONDCHANCE, triflex level2 PR 4 carrier VS monarch summit Level 3 mac-x carrier?

These are the 2 vest i have narrowed it down to, I can get the triflex pr-4 carrier level 2 with a titaium plate for $550.00, I can get a monarch summit level 3 with a mac x carrier for $700.00. I have no choice in carriers because I will be getting the one I chose though another dept bid. Is the other vest worth the money? should I go with the cheaper ope or is there a big diffrense? tell me what you think of these vest? thanks P.S in case it matters I carry a .40 cal glock.

We were issued the "monarch summit level 3 with a mac x carrier" in the NYPD academy. Although, I have no basis of comparison, I think it's relatively comfortable. I wore it for about 16 hours straight on New Year's in about 45-50 degree weather and was OK. From what I've been told (the 2nd chance Rep, other cops, proprieters of local buff stores) they are the top of the line, apparently the lightest, most flexible on the market, blah, blah.....we were issued them but the rep said they are worth about $1300. I guess 700 is a good deal then(??)
