tac vest for patrol

I am interested in buying a tactical vest for Patrol. I would like to have it ready so when the *%$# hits the fan it is good to go. I would be interested in any idea on make or model and what to carry on it.

Safariland makes an "Urban Patrol" vest. I think thats what they called it. It's basically a lighter version of an entry vest . I doesn't have the coverage of let's say a "Cover Six" entry vest , but it's adequate for active shooter/ high risk situations .
As I recall , it also comes with a large level 4 rifle plate.
