Effective Range of Glock 22

Does anyone know the effective shooting range of the Glock 22 (.40)

Depends at what distance you have the sights set at. Are you asking at what distance the sights are set at when it leaves the factory?

I have an EX-Marine buddy that can hit can's all day long with his glock 23 at 50 yards. They are a flat shooting pistol.

I've done well between 40 and 50 yards. Of course I am also not the best shooter in the world. I picked the glock 22 because of Glock's reputation and I like the way it felt in my hand.
