What exactly is an acid trip like?
I've heard some people say it changes the color of light and other people go so far as to say you can forget who and where you are???
Also, I read in a book it never leaves your system completely, does that mean you fail every drug test the rest of your life?

Thanks alot
Bob

It gives you a brief synopsis of what the effects are and what the long term effects of usage can be.

You do not fail drug test if you used LSD back in the 60's however, there is a condition called relapse or flashback.

LSD burrows itself into your spine and stays there until triggered by a stressor. The parasympathetic system jumps up and possibly triggers the release of the drug. (not alot of information on the topic, mostly cautious speculation)

There has not been a great deal of study on LSD in the last 20 years. Some theories have 90% of the drug passing out through liver excrement within 24 hrs. Flashbacks are thought to be more psychological than physiological and are often accompanied by neurotic behaviors and psychosis.

The site furnished by reid-oclg is an excellent one. Take a "Google" search on "LSD Episodes" and you'll get to review some literature on acid trips and flashbacks.

By and large, LSD use will DQ you from a majority of LE agencies.

Unfortunately, this is probably the worst place to be asking for first hand knowledge about this. Relatively clean-livers around here.

Several years ago I responded to a disturbance. The 18 y/o had dropped some LSD laced with another unknown substance . To make a long story short, it took three of us to hold him down and cuff him as he tried to jump out the tenth story window of a building. His 'trip' could have cost him his life had he been successful with the jump....
