It looks like it is going to be another busy fire season in the West. With large fires burning in Colorado, Montana, New Mexico, and fires in several other states as well a quick shout out is past due.
Smokejumpers, hotshots, groundpounders, engine crews, heavy equip. operators, convict crews(hoods in the woods), ranchers and private property owners. All are putting in long hard hours of labor and most are living in less than pristine conditions.
Whether you work for USFS, NPS, BIA, CDF, DOC, or one of the other agencies involved. Whether you volunteer out of a sense of duty, or as a desperate attempt to save your own property. To everyone on the fireline and at base camp,
