Just wanted to give a shout out to the men in yellow holding the line against "The Beast" known as wildfire. Whether they are smokejumpers, hotshots, engine crews, etc. doesn't matter. Whether they work for USFS, BLM, CDF, LACFD, SBCFD, SDCFD, CADOCS, or are part of an inmate work crew, doesn't matter. Whether they are getting a check, or are volunteering doesn't matter. I guess what I'm trying to say my hat goes off to all the smoke-eaters.
