View Full Version : lost some weight!
I started running hard again about six weeks ago and lifting everyday. Long story short, I have gone from 206 lbs to 188 lbs. I use to have Charlie Brown as my avatar because, to be honest, I kinda resembled him. But things have changed so I had to go with the Bucos

Congrats!
I'm needing to lose some too. A whole lot more than that, though.
Gotta start getting to the Y as often as possible.

but here it goes:
Shape of my life, competetive water polo shape, I am 195 to put it in perspective.
I bounced for along time between 215-230 and actually ballooned all the way up to 260 with three years of full time work and full time school. I know excuses are for the feable, so I am done with that.
I am at 225 right now and have 27 more lbs to go.
But I am just getting sexier by the day...Yeah baby, yeah!!!

Well, let me show you guys what a little determination and the desire for a different career can do. I have been big all my life. I am tall and have always been a large framed individual. Well I worked a lot in college while earning my BS in Chemical Engineering from a top tier school. I didn't have time to eat right and I was always hungry, so I ate all the time and always terrible foods. Well at my peak, my senior year of college, I was 317 pounds and 6'2". I had always been interested in law enforcement, but figured I would get more fulfillment from engineering. When the economic downturn hit and I ended up taking a job I didn't like, I realized that I really wanted to be in LE, specifically the FBI. So I started eating less and working out. Well to make a long story short, a little over 2 years after I graduated college, I am now at 208 pounds. My motivation the whole time was getting to be a cop, and with that in mind I managed to lose 109 pounds. I am still only in good shape, certainly not terrific shape or anything like that and I still have a ways to go to be where I want, but I am so proud of what I have been able to do. My long term goal is 200 pounds, and I should be there in a few months. LE here I come.

Sounds like we're similarly framed. I'm only 6 foot, but right around 300. Looks like I got my work cut out for me, as I will be done with school in August! :o

That is awsome!!!
I was pretty fired up about my own progress, 30lbs in 7 weeks, but I now defer to the notorious DOD...
I think its amazing what motivation and persistence can do!!!

I went from 250 to 195 in about 6 months, with a low carb diet and exercise. Now I just try to watch my carbs and maintain my weight.
