Hello All,

I have completed a search but did not find what I am looking for so here it goes:

I currently own Danner Striker GTX which are very comfy but DO NOT SHINE WELL.

So I am willing to invest the money on a new pair and use my Strikers for training and what ever else

My question:

What Danner boot (if any) holds a GREAT shine??
Please let me know what you think and why.
Also if anyone has any other thoughts on a COMFORATABLE boot that holds a GREAT SHINE, please let me know.

I would ask this thread does not turn into a debate on why Danner is the best boot in the world.....LOL
Just need some good thoughts on what to buy.

THANKS A LOT

Nick

Kiwi Elite liquid polish, goes on in about a minute then let it dry. Makes any boot look great. You have more important things to do than polish boots.

I have a pair of the "Olympics" which are the 8 inch all leather version that is approved for the USMC. They take a great brush shine. I never tried to spit shine them, I just don't have the patients.

If you really, really, really have to have Danner boots then loot at the Portland model as well. They have a small "footprint" and a flexible rubber Vibram sole. If you like the looks of that model and are open to other brands then check out lawboot.com and check out the 700TLS (same boot, different mfgr.). Lawboot discounts for law enforcement. I wear them and love them, especially for the price.

A couple of people at my PD have the Acadia's and swear by them. One guy has them shined to mirrors, and I mean patten leather or better.

I've been wearing Danners for about 7 years now and swear by them. The first time you attempt to shine them it will take a little extra time to get the mirror glow you want. But after that its just like spit shining any other boot. Other than being a little heavy, I am extremely pleased with them. A can of Parade Gloss, a soft cotton rag, a lighter, some spit and your in business. -- K.S. 1*

Kenny,

I'm sure those Danner's are finely spit-shined flying the friendly skies now aren't they:)
