If you were not lucky enough to get Christmas-Eve and/or Christmas-Day off (such as myself) console yourself with the following two words: "Triple Time"


God Bless, and stay safe, and for heavens sake don't let your Captain catch you resting your eyes in your favorite "sleep hole" ;-)

I'll also be working the Liberty Bowl on New Years Eve Day. Then it's over to Beale Street for a New Years Eve detail. followed perhaps (hopefully) by a few hours of sleep back at the precinct before my regular shift, New Years Day morning, at least it should be quiet.:sad day:

Also please keep in mind the soldier who is working the ultimate shift - 24 hrs a day 7 days a week for a year. Keep them in heart as they are out there for months without seeing a loved one over the holiday.

I'd love to console myself with those words, but unfortunately I don't get triple time...just time and a half plus another day of annual leave added to my bank (so really, it's like 2 and a half time kinda). Then again, I work for the state, so what do you expect? ;)

Worked xmas eve and xmas, same pay as any other day. Our holiday is included with our rotating 5-2 5-3 schedule. Nice hey?
