For the last 13 months Ive been under stress to much. The reason is because i quit my last job because it was not going to work out with my school schedule. I though I would find something quick, but I have not. Everyday I go out to look for a job but nothing comes up. I think this has gotten to my head alot because it has seriously made me feel sometimes that Law enforcement agencies will not give me a chance in a selection process. Im about to get my college degree in June which makes me very happy, However it worries me tremendously that I cant find a job. Has anyone ever been in my situation before. How did you cope with this if you haved. I would be glad to hear how you have coped with this type of situation. I will tell you its tough

You should always have a backup plan. If law enforcement is not working out for you right now, try to have a secondary field you would like to try out. Intead of stressing yourself out waiting for a law enforcement agency to call, redirect that energy in a different positive direction. After you get a job, continue to persue your goals and before you know it you will be on your way. I may be wrong but it sounds like you are still young, perhaps you just need a little more work experience before an agency gives you a shot. Good luck, stay focused and motivated.

I have not been getting DQ after DQ. I have just started to process. The reason I am stressed out is because I have not been able to find a regular partime job while I have been attending school getting ready to complete my degree, This has been about for nearly 13 months. I have been worried that this can hurt in a selection process. Hopefully someone can respond who has been in this position before

The way I read your post, you're stressed because your inability to find a job may affect your LE suitability. To ease the job hunt stress, just visit your local law school and talk to some 3rd-years. Add their debt to the stress of trying to find a job in a glutted legal market and you'll feel a whole lot better. As far as it affecting your LE aspirations, that's a non-issue. You may have to explain a period of unemployment, but that in and of itself won't matter one iota while applying to various LE agencies.

Try to relax my friend. We rarely meet superhumans. You have a full time job, it is called being a student. You may have financial stress since you can't find employment but you can more than cover the time on a resume. I was in school is fine. Jeez, sometimes you guys set up awful requirements on yourselves.
"While an undergraduate, I held 7 part time jobs of exceptional responsibilities and cured cancer on my 1 day off in seven years and I hate myself for taking a day off" does not appear on the resume of anyone who is looking for a cop job.
