A question for any of you Glock guys out there. Is the Glock 30 the same size as the 26 & 27? Sometimes .45's tend to be a bit wider in the grip than their .40 & 9mm counterparts.

Just Curious.

The 30 is not the size of the 26. It is roughly the size of the 19 but wider. Sweet shooter though, accuarcy is amazing and from what i hear you get good velocities even with the short barrel.

Love the 30! Sweet shooter and very concealable. Not as small as the 26/27, but a fine weapon. I got one of the first from Glock and put 1000 rounds through it at a firearms training program the next week. Not a misfire, stack or glich! DM

I am issued a 30 for my particular duty. It is a good weapon. Here is how I would quickly rate it on a scale of 1 to 10; 10 being the best.

Accuracy - 8

Controllability - 8

Durability - 10

Cost/Value - 9

Function - 10

Concealability - 6

Comfort - 7

Looks - 3

That being said, I need to say something. If I had my pick of weapons, I could think of others I would like to carry. HOWEVER, I am of the belief that the best gun is the one in your holster...so learn to use it. Before I was issued a Glock, I would not have given them much consideration. After using one for 7 years now and becoming an armorer, I have changed my mind. Now mind you, I keep my firearms in very good condition, but I have every confidence in the world that everytime I pull its trigger, Mr. Thundermaker will bark fire. I have NEVER in 7 years had it malfunction, misfire, or break, nor have I had to replace a part. That goes a long way with me.
