View Full Version : to the moderator that deleted "mfr" account
Moderator... Earlier I added "MY" website to my signature, which I "assumed" would be OK, since it is my personal website. Apparently, it was a no no that resulted in my account (mfr) being closed on the forum. This is the first forum I have ever been on that has closed someone's account without notice for using one's personal website in their signature. I have no problem not putting my personal website in my signature if it goes against some hierarchy in the rules of the forum, but could you at least give someone a chance to change their signature BEFORE you close their account! I am going to be hired into a federal agency in the next few weeks and would like to stay in contact with my friends on the forum and contribute my experiences. So, if you could reactivate my old account (mfr) I can remove my personal website link from my signature. If you have any question or problem would you email me, before deleting anymore accounts.
Thanks,
MFR2 (formerly mfr)

The mfr account is not showing that it is banned. It shows that it is awaiting email confirmation.
From rules of the board:
B. PROHIBITED CONTENT
1. Links to Commercial or Controversial Websites
Please do not post active links to these types of websites unless the information is requested by a member in a prior post. Feel free to share such links through the Private Message system. Active links in your signature also are not allowed, even if a link connects to your personal website. You may enter a personal website in your “Profile” as your "Home Page", which will provide a live link to your "Home Page" when members click on you screen name. Active links that automatically start a download when clicked on also are not permitted.
Thanks for the response. I guess I need to start reading the fine print more. :) Here is what I am getting when I try to post with my mfr account...
mfr, you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:
Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?
If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation.

i get that too, on my old account (bb007d). all the folders are marked as "private", too when you go to the forum main page.
i can still PM, though . . . i've PM'ed CEObob, nothing back tho.

ok, I checked my email, since you said it was awaiting verification. I guess where I changed email in my profile it put my account on freeze till I replied to the email it sent me. Thanks for the info, I would never have thought to check my email. :) I assumed it was deleted, because this happened before on an old account (zeus337) and I never could get in touch with a moderator to find out what the problem was. Can you see what is wrong with that old account? Maybe I can fix it too...
Thanks again

The bb007d account shows nothing wrong. It may be just one of those computer gremlins that messed things up. There is nothing we can do about that.
Ref the zeus account, another email can't be sent so you will just have to live with mfr.

Just stick with UR2NYSP. Your other account is lost in computer land.
