LOS INDIOS, Texas -- The U.S. Border Patrol confirmed Tuesday that the bodies of two missing agents, including one from the San Antonio area, were found Tuesday in the waters of the Rio Grande.
The bodies were found about four hours apart before dawn. There is no word yet on where in the river the bodies were found, but the Border Patrol is planning a news conference for later Tuesday morning.
The agency identified the missing senior agents as Travis Attaway, 31, of D'Hanis, and Jeremy Wilson, 29, of Ferndale, Wash.
The 19-foot Predator boat that capsized was recovered on Sunday.
The two had been missing since Sunday, when their patrol boat capsized in the Rio Grande River near the Los Indios International Bridge about 10 miles south of Harlingen.
Authorities said another agent who was in the boat, Capt. Javier Sandoval, of Brownsville, was rescued and is recovering in a Harlingen hospital.
