Now I realize it was a stupid question. :)
I was just curious as to why I went from one to the other and then back again.

I would think that a rookie is higher than a cadet.

A rookie is a new cop a cadet is a cop in training at the academy or a civillian trainee.

You've been raised to Rookie because you have eclipsed the required number of posts to obtain Rookie status.

Well I knew that, but on this board I started out as a rookie, then went to cadet, then went back to rookie with no negatives to my board reputation (if that even has anything to do with it).

Again, it was no big deal - I was just curious. I do, as of this thread, now have one negative rating on my rep. :(

Here you go buddy, an old post where ceobob explains the rank structure:

Somebody gave you a negative ranking for this one???? Sheesh.

Yep, sure did. :o
Thanks for the link - I wasn't able to find a working one earlier. :)

No prob.... Just keep in mind that when you don't know something, there are no stupid questions. At least as far as I'm concerned.

Thanks - I feel the same way about "stupid questions." Someone out there apparently doesn't share our opinion. :( I thought the rank thing was just backwards on this board for some reason. I know the real world rank order - I am surrounded by friends/family in law enforcement. Maybe it was just a glitch that I started out as a rookie and it was corrected later on - it just confused me. Thanks again for not thinking I was a moron (don't want to give the FBI a reason to think they made a mistake - I report to my FO next Monday). :)

Congrats and good luck at your new FO. You're where I want to be down the road! :D

Thanks so much trackstar - and good luck to you too. Want it seriously enough and you will definitely get there. :)
