I ordered the ARO TEK LTD (www.arotek.com) Trijicon Ghost Ring Sight Set ($117.60) for my Glock 22. Yet, during test fire, I noticed that my sights and point of impact was high.
I thought of using the trijicon front sights and the Aro Tek Ltd ghost ring in the rear. Yet, my shot would be higher than my aiming point.
Thus, I changed my sights back to the original Trijicon Sigths.
I enjoyed that ghost ring sight system. Does any one know of a company that sells low profile rear ghost rings or am I stuck with the standard trijicon sights.

From my limited experience in handgun usage, a ghost ring rear sight is not a good idea for quick aquisition shooting that you would be doing with a handgun. I think if you were to do competition accuracy shooting, a ghost ring rear might not be a bad idea. I even know of a LE handgun instructor who removed the rear sight and only has a front sight post because all he did was quick draw shooting. This 45 was custom built by the famous John Jardine of the Valtro 45 fame. When I am shooting pistol, I mainly just focus on my front sight and the bullets always seem to go where I need them to.
Eaglearm,
Just curious, is this just personal weapon or duty? Reason I ask is I am curious as too what holster you are using to accomodate those sights. My opinion, take it for what it is woth, stick to the trijicon sights unless you can find novak sights to mount on 22.
The othe post about the guy taking off his rear sight as he just uses his front sight, ask him how well he shoots when he is more than 5 feet from the target? No matter how well you shoot and how fast you are you shoot use both front and rear, the is reason they are there, it is called sight alighnment and sight picture. Failure to acchieve this results in poor shooti
ng. This should be elementary for most but obviously not.

Using the Safriland Holster with the plastic vail drop. (model#???) I'm sending the sights back for a refund. The front sight was to tall for me. Put my trijicon (standard) low profiles back on. However, still seeking ghost ring for the rear. What are Novak Sights????????????????
Novak Sights are the preferred combat sight on most autos these days, the design is from Wayne Novak, who's been THE MAN in the sight business for some time. His operation is in Parkersburg, WVA. He's also got a website, so do a Google. DM
