GPS tracker opinions

We're currently looking at getting a new GPS tracker. I know that Orion is the prefered brand, but I'm wondering if anyone has experience with any of the other brands out there? Currently we're looking at the data dump type over the real-time. Also, any places to read user reviews or anything on them?

Garmin is a good one also that the military uses and many POV's. Not sure if you are talking about ones to use in cars?

I haven't used them but Orion is the one I hear the most about. We use SkyMate for our Vessel Monitoring System. I believe they have similar capabilities as Orion.
