I'm thinking of picking up a new Glock to add to my collection and I had a question for the Glock gurus out there. What type of factory night sights do they offer on their pistols to buyers? I heard awhile ago that you could only get Trijicons and if you wanted Amriglos or Meprolights you would have to buy aftermarket. When I inquired at a local gunshop they didn't know what brands they offered.
Thanks
I have an old LEO only price sheet from the Glock factory. Its at the office, but I'm pretty sure Trijicons are the only night sight offered. It may have changed though.
I am almost 99% sure you can only get Trijicons stock from glock. Trijicons, Meprolights and Amriglos look and feel almost the exact same. Heinie and Novak are a good alternatives if you are looking for something a little different. Amriglo has a new “operator” model for glocks that seem nice. Your local gun store usually will charge around $10.00 to install new sights if you do not have the tools.
I asked the same question when I purchased my Glock 19 a little over a year ago...
I was told I could only get Trijicons...
Not sure if that has changed since last year though :o
Glock has their own OEM Glock night sights now. They are Meprolight inserts and not as bright as the Trijicon. The drawback is that the Glock OEM tritium front sight is crimped on. Some argue that the crimped on sights are not as secure as those secured screw and locktite. That said, I have a G26 with the OEM factory night sights. I prefer trijicons.

Thanks guys,
Thats what I wanted to know. Personally I also prefer the Trijicons; I'm not a fan of the Meprolights for a couple of reasons so if anything I'll just buy aftermarket Triji's and have the local Glock armorer install them.
