Any know a web site that has them? I know they are out there, and I prefer not to wear two separate dual magazine pouches. It would be for a Sig 226.

I don't know if you are looking for leather or nylon. Blackhawk definitely has the nylon type. Gould and Goodrich had a leather vertical pouch, the size of a regular double pouch, just deeper. Unfortunately, I think they were for single stack mags.

I've never seen a quad which holds double stack magazines. I would think it would be a little thick. I've carried both leather and nylon quad mags but I have P220 single stacks. The mag pouches are a little thick and tend to hang forward a little due to the weight. I would think four P226 mags with 60(?) rounds 9mm would be even heavier than my 32 rounds of .45 ACP.

Have you thought of just carrying two mags on the belt and then have an "oh sh_t" grab bag on the front seat? Caliber press has had a little bag for years. I think I saw something in Diamondback Tactical's catalog also. When I worked patrol I always had a small camera bag with me that had extra shotgun slugs, mini binos, pocket mask, and a blood stopper gauze. Now that we switched to patrol rifles I'm going to replace the slugs with a couple of loaded AR mags.

When you think about it your pistol should be thought of as a defensive weapon only and you long gun is your offensive weapon. If you are getting out of your car knowing you're going up against somebody armed you get into an offensive posture (ie take the rifle/shotgun/grab bag) you.

The only blackhawk pouch I know of close to this is a triple.

I've seen a few people that have Quad pouches for the S&W 5906. I may not even like it, but would like to give it a try. I'm thinking more about the times I may not be able to get to the shotgun or gear bag. Better to have than have not. To quote a buddy of mine, "I'm not gonna die for lack of shooting back."

I'm a slender guy and already have a double cuff pouch. I have to maximize room and can't fit a second double pouch. Maybe I should just consider a single mag pouch.

Or you can switch to Glock and get a couple of those 30+ round magazines :D

Dept won't let us carry Glock's. S&W, Sig, Beretta only.
