Hello,

I've read the directions on creating and uploading a custom avatar but cannot seem to find the "Change Avatar" feature in my Control Panel. I can change from standard to standard, but I do not seem to have, or cannot find, the custom avatar feature. I have followed your directions closely. Is something amiss with my Control Panel? Or, am I so computer illiterate that I do not deserve a custom avatar? :)Thanks.

You have to have a certain amount of posts to have a custom avatar. I will tell you this, the number is between 1,000 and 3,000 posts. Some people may have a custom avatar with less than this amount. They got grandfathered in before the rule took effect.

Oh,

Well, unless hundreds of my posts mysteriously disappear from my total posts column again (I think I went from 700 to about 100 overnight one time last year), I should be able to get a custom avatar sometime in 2007. Thanks for responding to my question, CEOBOB. :)

If the G wanted you to have a custom avatar, they would have issued you one at academy. :D

I wish I could get a custom avatar . . . oh wait I've got one!

I was under that "grandfather" program ceobob mentioned.

Hey Bob, any chance the avatar pool will be freshly re-populated with some new choices? (Daddy needs a new "peace" symbol hahahahahaha, or at least a nice big red B from my favorite baseball team!!! :))

I don't have the time right now. However...if anybody wants to make an avatar, I will put it up. As long as it is in good taste. The size can not be any larger than 57x57 pixels. When they are made, just PM me, and I will give you an email address to send them to.

PEACE, I'll be sending ceobob a nice stylized Boston Red Sox logo that I found online and sized.

This thread has inspired me to change my avatar. :p
