I have just started a new job (Still working security at a Navy base locally but now i have more responsibility) I am whats called Naval Liason which basicaly means when one of the guards here screw up, are rude, drive too fast, sneeze outta line what ever I'm hauled into an office and shouted at by a regulator (NNaval Police), These guys are doing a great job don't take me wrong but its the way they serem to vent their collective spleen on me for what are really just little things that my chaps do. I am always left feeling as though I am worthless at my job and was finding it hard to be "Normal" at home shouting at the kids (2 step children and 1 of my own with 1 more on the way) so i developed F**k you therapy which basically entails me shouting F**k you at the top of my voice for about 10 minutes of my drive home i always feel better and end up laughing and in a great mood whn i get home and things are now brilliant with my wife and kids

BUT

I'm not sure if i am really dealing with the problem or just hiding it.

My question is this am i the only person to do this and is it acceptable to use such foul language to make myself feel better

I never swear infront of my family so i guess its works.

seems like a fine thing to do. you are relieving stress in an non-harmful way (maybe a sore throat problem would develop). they point is that you are getting it out instead of letting it give you an ulcer or something. reminds me of the seinfled "serenity now" episode...

i do this type of thing sometimes. usually i workout to vent stress, but if that is not your cup of tea dont worry about it.

and i happen to enjoy and appreciate good swearing in the right circumstances, so kudos to you all around... :D
