Leather Gear For NYPD

I was curious if i finish processing for Nypd im trying to make the january class.. I have my own leather gear i have the Bianchi Accumold do they let you wear the nylon gear or it has to be leather im curious cause i never seen a NYPD cop wear anything other than leather .. And if not what kind of leather gear is applicable by policy. High gloss, plain etc

i see some cops who wear nylon flashlight holders while everything else on their belt is leather, it looks sloppy. Stick with the leather to avoid getting your chops busted.

In the academy your going to have to have the leather duty belt, which you'd be forced to buy at the equipment section.

In actuality, the 1PP Equipment Section belts have little to no leather in them, they're Safariland "laminate." I think that they suck, they don't conform or break-in at all.

As an aside Mr. Brute Force, aren't there more higher paying, better departments in Riverside to pursue, and for that matter anywhere in CA?

Get all leather...and make sure its the best stuff you can afford.....

i use nylon now and when i went to the academy we used the bianchi accumold basket weave i loked it but it felt uncomfortable but i got used to it... i love there products and the look how are safarilands equipment i have a drop holster from them and love it i just would like to know someones opinon..
