View Full Version : Interview with BI.
Just had my first meeting with my NYSP investigator. Things went well and he already has me doing homework. I need to list my jobs, residences, neighbors at all residences, again. This is taking me forever to get. Anyway, I disclosed everything to him and he didn't give me the boot so I think so far I am in good shape. I meet with the psychiatrist on the 20th. I will post again when I do more stuff.
That is why I keep a copy of that type of stuff.
How are you supposed to find out who your neighbors are from all your residences? I have lived a couple of different apartment complexes and didn't have any idea who some of my neighbors were. I'm just curious about how you find all that out
I have to talk to my dad about neighbors that I didn't even know. I have to all the way back until I was born. My dad is gonna have to remenber neighbors that we lived next to 24 years ago all the way up until I moved out of the house. Kinda crazy huh? I would suspect you could talk to your landlord at the apartments and she could give you names of people who lived next to you.
That is a little extraneous. I never even met most of my neighbors when I was living in Boston.
I was in the same situation and told my BI that I never met any of my neighbors. Several complexes over several years. The BI said OK give me five more references and then proceeded to call the apt. complexes to see if I had a complaint call on my apt. while I lived there. Most complexes throw away those files after three years anyway. Everything came out all right and I passed the BI. In fact I am on my way in about an hour for my oral interview board.

sp20 Sounds like a lot of reasearch to do. I wonder how the BI would be if u cant come up with any names from a residence. I rented a house for 2 years with 2 acres of land and besides the lanlord i didnt know any of the neighboors except to wave as u drive by. How good was the BI in making a convient appt to meet with you or were you told when the appt was ???

well, I also live on a big property and don't even know any neighbors except 1.. I had to go introduce myself yesterday to 2 other neighbors. The BI was pretty cool with me. He asked when can I come down and I said "Whenever you need me there sir". He said "how about 1:30 today (it was 12:00 when he called) I said "yes sir, I will be there" I also showed up half hour early and he seemed to like that.
How many people did the investigator plan on talking with. Your close friends from High schoo?l, random friends from high school? I am wondering how long these guys will dig into a persons past. I ask becasuse I really need a job in May or soon after my student loans will be too much without real income.
be prepared on this guy talking to anyone you ever have had contact with. That's how he made it sound to me. He also told me that it's not what you did in your past, as long as you tell the truth about it and pass the lie detector.
sp20 what other kind of info did he ask for???
college transcripts, things like that ....

I am sure they will want to know about your academic record. Do you have anything that you are worried about revealing?
i would just like to get an idea of what info they will need. The only bad thing in my background is a speeding ticket that was reduced to passing a stop sign. Besides that they can look we ever and talk to who ever they want in my past and present life!!!
Your record is squeaky clean compared to a lot of knuckleheads that apply. Don't worry about the speeding ticket.

this is the first time applying anywhere and it all new to me. So i guess im more nervous about what happens next and to make sure i have everything i need if i should be able to continue with the process.
