criminal damage

As posted earlier, I had a warrant out for my arrest. My friends and I were using a dumpster for target practice, one of our small rocks bounced off the dumpster and accidentally cracked the windshield of a car. Anyway, I contacted the court, they told me the warrant was for criminal damage of property, I was never arrested and the warrant was dismissed, can someone tell me how this will effect my chances of becoming a police officer.

You said you had a warrant, but it was dismissed; does this include the charge?

Did you have to pay any fines? did you ever to court?

If no to all the above then there should be little if any problems, but if any of the above apply, let the agency know right at the word go.

I never went to court or paid a fine, I'm also assuming the charge was dismissed, considering I haven't heard anything in 2 years
