I was a former Reserve and Community Service Officer as well as some other support positions. This is an excellent part of the forum to discuss not only other type of support positions, but also Reserve and CSO positions. I have extensive knowledge of MN and WI if anyone is either of the two on this board. Hopefully this forum could be utilized as a networking tool for these type of positions as they usually lead to sworn positions.

Thanks K9, I wasn't aware until you posted that it could also be meant for discussing reserve and CSO topics. Anyway, this new forum was a great idea.

What about those of us who are already sworn as reserves? Don't we get our own playground too? :D

I would say that this is for both. Up here in the upper midwest most reserve positions are unsworn positions, not armed, for college age students and adults. The positions are used as an apprenticeship into a sworn position. Sworn reserves, armed, are not utilized much up here if at all anymore. Much different from other parts of the country.
