A lot of background investigating to include gathering records, tracking DMV history, and database searching.
As far as casework goes, you will most likely do a lot of looking at telephone and financial records, determining associations among subjects, and basically any odds-and-ends that the case Agent needs done to further his/her investigation.
A lot of busy work, but very rewarding according to all of the ISS' I work with.

Ultimate goal is to obtain an 1811 position. Howvever, I am patient and looking to build up my experience/resume more. The ISS gig seems like a position in which you may obtain familiarity with certain investigative tools and techniques. In turn that will help you in your future process.
However, I am learning that those who get into this gig are career-oriented and don't leave.
