View Full Version : FBI IA interviewees Status?
Hey all, i was just interested if anyone who was interviewed in April in DC for the IA positions have heard anything regarding the status of their BI? I really don't want to call hq and ask them, as they are busy with more important things than having me pester them with my inability to remain patient.
Just wondering. i haven't heard anything as of yet, and yes i completely realize that BI's take much longer than 2 months...
in the mean time i'll guess i'll keep waiting and practicing my Rex-Kwon-Do moves.

Dear Dublin,
My BI started less than two weeks after I got back from DC. My last personal reference (i.e., "People Who Know You Well" on the SF-86) was interviewed on Wednesday and the agent told him that he thinks this is the final step before my hiring. I do not know if this was just chit chat or if it means my case is soon to go into adjudication. I do know that most of my references have been contacted. I have also heard from people I know in the FBI (and this board has confirmed it) that the FBI is on fast forward and under a lot of pressure to get people on board. An IA I know in the Milwaukee FO told me his BI took three months.
Yours,
Travis

Well, I can't speak to the status of the April interviewees, but I can tell you that HQ's trying to get people hired as quickly as possible-one of the immediate goals is to completely stand up the intelligence directorate. as an example, in the unit I just started in, we're about 10-12 analyst short of our desired level of staffing. We've had to pull analysts for TDY from other divisions/units to try and keep up. They are trying to be more efficient with the process, it just takes time.
I know that its trite for me to say this, but just try to be patient. Things will work out eventually, and trust me, when they do, I'll bet that you'll think that it was all worth it.

I just had my PSI in March and my poly/uranalysis some weeks ago. I heard things were being "wrapped-up" from an HR person-though I'll beleive it when I see it.
I have had no interview no will I have one (is this normal?). I was told adjudication should come before August.
I would like to PM anyone on this matter (and others) about the IA position justto hear what everone else is going through.
