I just learned that next week a new report is coming out regarding the FBI's IA training program and that some extremely positive changes are coming.
I know the person who was commissioned to do the study and write the report. For those waiting to be hired as an IA, the author has proposed some massive changes; what he won't say, but the training is going to be a lot better.
I don't know if the report's release will delay or slow down the hiring of the IA's, but new training will be coming soon (government time, maybe years :p )
