3 months since my FBI SSG poly I get the thin letter saying I failed it. Wow, out of the blue. I thought I was all set since my BI was finished and they had me in after the poly for my drug test and prints. What really sucks is that I was supposed to have a pre-phase II interview in 10 days. I had to call the AC and tell him. An uncomfortable experience to say the least. Who knows why, it was my 1st one. I'll just have to write a letter begging for a re-test.

Sorry to hear that...being in the process myself, this news isnt too encouraging. Just out of curiosity, when you finished the poly, did the examiner say anything about passing or the posibility of failing? Im just wondering because when I finished, the examiner told me it was his opinion that I passed but it was ultimately up to HQ. Im just trying to determine the validity of the examiner's opinion. Thanks for your time.

After my poly, the examiner told me that he detected deception on one of my answers and gave me the same thing about sending it back to HQ. I guess they didn't agree back there because I got the job.
Schoolboy, so sorry to hear about the news. Appeal, there's something to be said for persistence. As has been said time and again, it's a tool, not a science.
