...to find out what is holding up the progress?

In March I was told my BI was done. Then--oops--in April I heard that there is one more piece of paper that has to come in. In May, I heard they are still waiting for one report. In June I was told they are still waiting for something.

The AC tells me that I have the job and that the job call will come any day now from HQ.

I lived in many places and have heard from all the BI guys except one that they are done with their stuff and sent it in. The one is the two years I lived in Richmond VA and was a SAHM with 3 little little kids fifteen years ago. I don't know if that's the case, I just know that all the other places where I lived someone has contacted me to get a piece of info and they all mentioned they were done and that my case was expedited. I was also told by my AC that the FO is a priority because they need staff so badly.

So what could be the hold up? Are they waiting for a medical, financial, or some other release? If so, how can I find out and make arrangements for the last bit to be sent in?

Do I call the AC again? Do I call HQ? Is it possible I didn't get the job? Is this common or administrative? This is the USSS.

Well, I found out something. I used to work for a major intelligence agency as an IA 15 years ago. My personnel files are in the inactive file on microfiche. They aren't responding to requests to release the files and my AC called me to ask if *I* could call them and get them to release the files.

So I call the main employment number and am told to press #2 if I want to speak to a representative. I press #2 and am told the person I want to reach has a voice mailbox that is not set up, do I want to try another number?

I have many of my employment records still from that time, my badge, my hiring record, the out processing records, pay stubs, personnel actions, etc... Not a complete set, but a lot of stuff. Would that work should I fax it in to my hiring agency?

Or should I go to the former agency and initiate a FOIA request?

Or should I go to my elected representative and ask him to intervene?

Or are there any other ideas?

Thanks.
