I have been posting on and off for a few months now. I have been very rude not to intorduce myself, mom would be disapointed. My name is Robert and I live in Gretna, LA, about 5 mins. from New Orleans. Currently, I attend Loyola Unitversity working on a BS in Social Science and halfway finished.
Prior service Marine and a member of the Louisiana National Guard. Think about accepting my commission as an officer next summer with the guard. Looking at maybe the Infantry Branch.
My law enforcement background includes 8 years with a large SO. Had to leave there because a political fall from grace, I pissed people off. Went to work for the New Orleans Harbor Police for a few months. The reason for being there such a short time, I was recruited to go to Kosovo with the UN police. I was there for a short time and now I am back to the state and applied to return to the Harbor Police. I have applied to the LA State police and hope to attend the academy.
My single objective is an 1811 status. I am hoping to get on with the feds one day. I have a couple of background issues but I keep trying, it has paid off with the locals. I think with my education, experience, military, and etc. it may pay off in the long run. I am 33 so I am not fighting time yet but I am going to get close soon.
