View Full Version : Internal Revenue Service??
I was surfing through some posts and ran across some in ref to IRS and it brought back some memories of my days in DC. When writing a traffic citation in DC, one of the little boxes on the citation asks for the place of employment of the violator. Of all the citations I wrote in 20+ years in DC, I never ever had anyone say they worked for the IRS. Nor, did any of my colleagues!! Since DC is chucked full of IRS people, you would think that some of your 4K co-workers would run across one here or there. This often became a topic of conversation around the coffee pot in the station. Guess IRS people are afraid to admit whom they work for?? Can’t imagine why?? he, he. Anyone ever stop a violator that worked for the IRS?? There should be a lot of them in Philly, NYC and a few other cities too.
Think about the fact that your name is visible and readable on your name tag. Not to mention the fact that the "undercover IRS agent" knows where you work. Any DC officers had the pleasure of a random audit?

In Pa. place of employment is not required for traffic tickets. I do remember when I did stop a female for speeding when I was young patrolman in NJ. She showed me she was a CID agent and I let her go with a warning (I was staring waaaaaaaaayyy to much @ her ample chest ). Later this year I caught up with a buddy who is a DoD cop at the Philly Navy Year and low and behold his girlfriend is the one I stopped in NJ. She remembered me clearly and told my buddy how I stopped her and looked at her chest during the whole car stop. He asked if I liked what I saw, I told him yeah. He said " Im glad you did cause you aint gonna get another one" We all laughed and went back to bsing....
