View Full Version : What's next after Adjudications Officer writing assessment test?
I took the writing test now I'm wondering what's the next phase? I talked to one of the proctors and he said that he didn't know if we would receive a NOR, but that the writing sample was a part of the evaluation of each applicant's qualifications. He also said that the writing samples will be forwarded to the selecting official, who will then contact applicants for interviews. I have noncompetitive eligibility and didn;t think I had to take any tests or be ranked with other applicants. He said that those high on the register will be referred to the selecting official. I just want to know how long does this take and what else is involved in this process? Any info would be appreciated.
I took the writing test as well. My proctor said that they would send the results within 30 days, but did not know if they will be scored or rated pass/fail. He didnt say anything about an interview but did say that they wanted to have an October academy but said that may be pushed back for unknown reasons.
let me know if you hear anything

Well, they said that we should receive NOR in 2 weeks and that the test was pass/fail. I was also told that because I had NC eligiblity that my name would "more than likely be referred to a selecting official since I was so high up on the list." I just want to at least have an idea of when I'd know if I got the job. This whole process is taking forever. Thanks for the info. I will definitely keep you posted should I find out anything new.
Talked to some guy in the Burlington Hiring Center and he said that the writing test will be graded by a committee contracted thru the Department of Justice, once the writing tests are graded(pass/fail). He said that they are basically checking for spelling, grammer, clarity, reasoning, etc. Those who pass will be ranked and those ranked the highest will be referred to the selecting officials. He said that they should make their selections toward the end of July or 1st week in August. He said that there could be a panel interview, but it is not mandated. Once the selecting officials have made their selections, those selected will be sent logistical information about when and where to report for training at the FLETC.
Anyone get their results yet? nothing here, waiting impatiently.
Nope, still waiting as well. They said 2 weeks but it has been 3.
Was told that the NOR are coming into the Burlington office and will be out around the last week of July 1st or August and that the names of those who passed will be forwarded to the selecting officials who must then select from the highest three, they cannot select other applicants over vets either or they would have to give a good explanation if they did. The HR person told me that they probably will not conduct interviews because the writing sample was an added part of the selection process, but they may. Selections will be made probably in a month or so. God, I hate this. ;)
