Anyone heard anything about when their next academy might be? Just waiting for that call.

Oklahoma and Ohio are Highway Patrols. So they use the OHP acronym. Oregon is a State Patrol, thus uses the OSP acronym. Just a little FYI.

The last I heard, academies were being cancelled there due to budget problems. I would go straight to the horses mouth(the OSP) and ask them.

Actually, Oregon is a State POLICE, not 'Patrol'. And doesn't Ohio use Ohio State Highway Patrol (OSHP) as their official acronym?

You are two for two. Calling the Oregon State Police a “Patrol” was a mistake (typo) on my part. As for Ohio using OHSP instead of OHP, I didn’t know that. You learn something everyday. Now everyone should be clear on the “O” states.

To recap:
OHIO- Ohio State highway Patrol ------OSHP
Oklahoma- Oklahoma Highway Patrol--OHP
Oregon- Oregon State Police ------------OSP
