Experienced ATF agents who apply and are selected undergo training as medics and operate with tactical teams or in support of activities where onsite medical care is needed (certain National Response Team or specialist activations where working conditions or climate pose issues.) Additionally, ATF has contracts that provide for more sophisticated medical operational support, these contracts are with organizations not individuals. General wellness screening are provided by the Public Health Service or through the employees health insurance.
