What kind of training/classes should I look for to help me with a background to get into the FBI for an Evidence Technician?

In the FBI book that I have, it does say that there is on the job training and if you become part of the response team, you go for an 80 hour course. It also says that minimum qual. is a high school diploma or GED.

Thank you!

I know that several community colleges in MD (and I think here in FL also) offer evidence tech. certificates or AA/AS degrees in forensic science. More and more colleges are starting to offer forensic degrees as well, but be prepared to do a lot of hard science courses (chemistry, biology, etc.).

Here is some advice from FSU regarding careers and requisite education for forensic science.

Dive Jamaica, you have asked this question in one form or another 5 different times, most in the middle of June. Not sure what you expect to get this time that you didn't then. Since your focus is on the Evidence Tech position with the FBI, I suggest you call a local FBI office and get the name of someone who can help you with information (possibly they can link you up with a current Tech working for them) or, while the FBI does not have any career fairs listed for NJ right now, I did note there are some this month in NY and Phila. Here's a link to the Bureau's job fair page. https://www.fbijobs.gov/fairs.asp

Wish you all the best in mapping out a new career, but because of the repetition, I'm closing this one.
