Need a little help on a stessful subject,
I have a slight red-green color problem that I discovered while
in the Army. It is not a bad problem, I can see traffic lights and signs without difficulty. As a matter a fact I can see mostly every
color with no problem. I do have problems with dark green and
really dark red. More importantly I cannot pass the ishatarha or whatever its called. I am moslty curious about Colorado's standards because that is where I want to work. I checked out
their POST quilifications and I can get POST certified. I am highly quilified to be a police officer. I have a honorable discharge from the Army, I have volunteered at the local police department for three years, I will have a BS degree in Criminal Justice in one year and I am currently a detention officer for the sheriff's department. Will my current qualifications help a PD overlook my slight problem with vision? Oh, by the way, my LT for detentions has the same problem and he said it was not a problem for him when he was on the patrol side.
Thanks for the help.
