Los Angeles County Sherifs Deputy Hagop "Jake" Kuredjian, 40, was shot and killed Aug 31, while assisting the ATF exicute a search warrant.
The ATF was exicuting a search warrant at the home of James Beck, for allegedly impersonating a federal agent. As the ATF was beginning to exicute the warrant when Beck open fire on the ATF Agents. The ATF then retreated and called the LASO for assitance. Deputy Kurdjian took position to assistans and then was shot once in the head. Kuredjian was air lifted to a local hospital where he was declared dead.
Kurdejian is survived by his mother, and a girlfriend. Deputy Kuredjian had been with the LASO for 17 years.
