Ok this belongs in the Success stories section I guess :) But I GOT MY LETTER TODAY FROM LAPD PERSONNEL! Everything went smoothly, i'm slated for the 9/24 academy. I called in already and told them I could definitely make it. Now i'm just waiting for that academy confirmation letter and i'm off. If I get into the academy this coming month at the scheduled date i'll update you all in the rookie forum.
